The DeWALT DCS690 cordless steel, wet concrete saw is the successor to the DCS690 model. Compared to the previous model, the cutter has a changed battery basket that will accommodate the new 15Ah DCB549 battery. In addition, the Wireless Tool Control (WTC) system was used, which allows the user to wirelessly connect the device to another tool equipped with this technology. A durable, modern and highly-efficient brushless motor with high power is used, designed for the most difficult professional applications (cutting concrete, reinforced concrete and stone). FLEXVOLT 54V battery technology provides performance similar to 230V mains machines. The use of battery power combines the advantages of mains cutters (light weight) and petrol cutters (no power cord). The large maximum cutting depth of 82mm allows for intensive work. On the other hand, the use of the motor overload indicator informs about the need to reduce the pressure of the blade to the material during cutting. It reduces the risk of overheating and extends the service life. Ergonomics and comfort are ensured by the fitted handle with a soft coating and the adjustable blade guard in 5 positions. The cutter is extremely durable due to the already mentioned brushless motor, as well as an all-metal drivetrain and a sealed battery and switch. Dual water feed helps control dust and improves cooling of the diamond weld. Thanks to the use of a quick connector, water connection takes a few seconds and the device is ready for wet operation.
